We made a game for the friends who can spot a velvet booth from across the room.
The Idea
Groove-Dar started one night at a too-trendy little bar with too many succulents. Every detail screamed “curated” — exposed brick, Edison bulbs, a record player nobody was actually using. We started pointing them out, then keeping score, and a game was born.
What It Is
Groove-Dar is a quick, no-install bingo for a night out. Your phone hands you a 3×3 board of decor and vibe items, and your job is to spot them in real life. Bouncing to a new place? One tap reshuffles your unmarked tiles for the new venue. Fill the card, call Groove-Dar!, and the next round is on someone else.
Who's Behind It
A small group of friends who go out a lot, take design too seriously, and think the best apps are the ones that make a Tuesday more fun. We built Groove-Dar for our own group chat first, and then figured everyone else might want a turn too.
